Here's a new Tony Cam video for your viewing pleasure taken from 'The Way We Walk' original release DVD!! In this video we get to see a great view of Tony playing "The Old Medley" bits of "Dance on a Volcano" with a tiny bit of "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" then after that we hear the ending bit of "The Musical Box" which goes into "Firth of Fifth" and ends with the beginning of "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)"!! I would've included the entirety of "The Old Medley" but these parts I've recorded were the parts focused on Tony. SO, after all that explanation, I hope you enjoy this!!

At 5:41, Tony rejoins my boy Phil's way off the charts epic drumming with that typical, classic "Tony Banks" piano sound just at the right time for the climactic part of this Genesis' utter instrumental masterpiece, the part wherein Tony and Phil demonstrate once again which musical duo has a flawless, and, as a matter of fact, a genius mutual synchronization and tightness, which, as far as I am concerned, cannot be equaled by any other duo out there.

Anthony George "Tony" Banks (born 27 March 1950) is an English musician and multi-instrumentalist, primarily known for being the keyboardist and a founding member of the progressive rock group Genesis. He is one of only two members (the other being bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford) who have been with Genesis throughout its entire history.Banks was one of the main composers of Genesis's music, and made major lyrical contributions to the band's songs. As the band's keyboardist he used a variety of instruments, including the ARP Pro Soloist synthesiser, the Mellotron, the Yamaha CP-70, and the Hammond T-102 organ. In the band's earliest years Banks would play acoustic guitar for some of the mellow and pastoral songs.Outside Genesis, Banks has pursued a solo career, which has included film scoring, pop songs and orchestral music. In 2006, the first Tony Banks biography, Man of Spells by journalist Mario Giammetti, was published in Italy (Edizioni Segno). In 2010, Banks was inducted (as a member of Genesis) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Their live drums sounded weird in this era. Sounded much better on Seconds Out (1977).

Great "air drumming" from Phil at the beginning :-) I always admire keyboarders who don't need lights on their keyboards. I am a keyboarder and on stage I insist on having my keys lit (with a dim 5 Watt bulb). You never know what the light guys are going to do. Somnetimes they can go totally dark or crazy and it is very distracting, because you learn your keyboard phrasing and chord voicings as "pictures", together with "muscle memory" for the finger movement. One more (of many) reason to admire Tony. Roland JD 800: great choice for a synth back then. I say that because Tony mande so many awesome and unusual keyboard choices in the 70s and from the mid 80s on he made some very unlucky and "yeah whatever" choices (Yamaha DX-7, EMU II; Korg 01W, Korg Wavestation, are you kidding me????).
