Well, I had heard portions of this song on 'Austin City Limits' theme but never heard the rest of it. Didn't realize it is a 'long song' with a lot of cool lines besides the catchy chorus! Gary Nunn sings it well, also. He's one of a handful of West Texans that made some money in commercial music. I'm one of the countless ones that didn't...LOL! Rock'n Robin Brown

As the director, Carol Patton Cornsilk used to point out, this was a NORMAL day in Central Texas.

I've been a musician in Austin for 35 years and I've been drunk with Gary, Jerry, Willie, Johnny Rod, Delbert C. Doug Sahm, James Cotton and a few others passing through town. And when the dice got cold and the cards were all bent up so bad you know which ones were the aces, we'd play this song, stay drunk and screw any old girl who'd let us drop their panties in the bed of a '65 Chevy pick 'em up truck. Those were the days. This song was one of our staples.

I miss Texas SO much . People can say what they want , put us down and trash us - but I will always be proud that I grew up in Texas. Great memories that will never die..................
