Really enjoyed playing on this tour but I don't remember playing this track, although the chord structures are what I would have used.

The footage of Gary with fans was taken in Leeds 1986, promoting the single This Is Love on Radio Aire and Yorkshire TV. I know because I was there. I am on the footage at 4.44. As far as I know my first visual appearance on YouTube. Back in the mid eighties I edited the popular Numan fanzine The 1930s Rust ('84-'86). Most of the fans in this film were people I had met through the fanzine.

I went to see gary on this tour, my first numan gig at stoke a very rainy night, but an unforgettable one, NUMAN WAS STUNNING it gave you shivers down your spine, a breathtaking stage set, long live NUMAN.

Oh man I love this song, I think Gary was very innovative back then with the new sampling technology and the PPG, although the image didn't really work out with the sound but it gave it that surreal undertone anyway... The album also shows that Gary can sing with a soft voice like in this and with a lot more aggression like in Call Out the Dogs...

I saw him at Sheffield and Manchester on this tour. If you were at the front, you couldn,t see what was going on on top of the platform, but at least Mr Numan was up close. If I remember rightly he had a very bad cold and was feeling dreadful.Excellent show though. Linda x

Ya, his tours for I, Assasin, The Fury, Warrious, Machine & Soul, and Outland were visually stunning (minus his studded crotch protector). BUt I'll tell ya, I'll take him as he is now. Less flash, more Gary. Guy is a madman, I love it :)

God, That concert looks insanely AMAZING! Wish I could have been there! Hope he puts it on DVD in the future, he mentions in the book those were some of his best concerts.

This is a song called "Puppets", it originally was a B-side from the single "I still remember". This version is slightly different (more vocals) and was included in the reissue of The Fury. I think its one of his best B-sides....
