I like honest questioners regardless of whether they agree with me or not. Excellent song musically. Lyrically it is interesting and --taken at face value--honest. Nicely done.

Gary, please, you don't have to put on the athiest pretense to appeal to today's demographic. You're too good, you don't need to try.

I remember when this first came out it was doing the rounds on the music TV stations of the day in Ireland & UK - MTV2, Kerrang, Scuzz etc. As a teenager I'd watch the continuous playlist loop each day. I remember at the time, in my immature mind, being very put off by the cringeworthy, low budget video. Over time though, my ears got the better of me, and I started to give in to really enjoying the tune. Now, in retrospect, I think its one of Numan's finest modern era releases. We all know greats like NIN were influenced by him - I think in this song, as Numan has developed into this modern era, his sound has become symbiotic with those he has influenced. I hear NIN very strongly in this.

Wow, Gothier than usual. Reminds me of some of the droning tracks from SoM. I like it, though...

That's a great list there. Especially 16Volt - which is somehow rather unknown but should have been the biggest name ever in the genre of industrial music.
