This was my wife and I wedding song. One of the prettiest and most meaningful songs ever written and Gary Morris is outstanding doing it.

He sure does. His vocals always seemed to me much more superior, more refined than what you would normally find with a country act. Just a wonderful voice!

Remember him singing this back in the '80s live at the Decatur Celebration in Decatur,Illinois. Was simply AWESOME!

Now THIS is the version of WBMW that you should listen to........................NOT Bette Midler's disembowelment of it! Talk about not doing a song justice.

Gary Morris had one hell of a voice...it was much stronger than most other country artists. No surprise that he moved easily to the Broadway stage.

I don't think that Gary Morris was ever recognized for his talents as he should have been.................

Gary wins hands down on this song! He sang this song at Opryland theme park in Nashville back in 1988. He put on a 1 hour long show on an open stage in the park. It was so funny, they were doing a taping that day and it was at least 95 degrees outside. He was in a dress shirt and sport coat, with a pair of shorts and tennis shoes on. I felt sorry for him, it was so hot and muggy that day and he had sweat pouring off of him. He still managed to pull off one heck of a show!

The most soulful version of "Wind Beneath My Wings" was recorded by Gladys Knight. I know because I was the engineer. Sounds like it was written especially for Gladys and the Pips.

I remember that this very song was dedicated to my Mom from my Dad on their anniversary and the radio station actually played it and announced the dedication for all to hear. Good memory for me.

This is the version that SHOULD have garnered the grammy awards & accolades. Have you heard his new song, I forget to Breathe? It's even BETTER than this one!!
