Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP-CM9VBVgQ

This is my tribute to Gary Moore. The video shows his pure technical skill, not the feeling and emotion he puts in his songs. Enjoy :) Sry for the black parts, these are due to synchronisation issues.

My God, his talent almost approaches that of The Bieber.

When Gary is in his fast picking zone he locks his pinky and ring fingers together almost looks painful his picking hand.

...and he could go from show and soulful and suddenly hit these blazing fast flurries that I'm still trying to figure out his fingering. Ever get into "The Loner"?

I know that feeling only too well Rick. Gary had the most amazing FEEL on guitar, like no other

I watch him play and listen to him in the car and I get brought close to tears. There is something in his playing that reaches this emotional place in me that nobody else can touch. I would have loved to jam with him.

Returnality

That wasn't clean. His left hand didn't match his picking speed most of the time and all he was doing was fairly generic patterns. Unlike Gary, MAB's left hand speed can match his max picking speed and he can move all across the fretboard and use multiple techniques at those speeds. Gary has speed, but he isn't anywhere near as good as using it as MAB. That's not say I'm dissing on Gary, he just isn't as good as MAB in the speed or technique department.

Well, the famous 'Out In The Fields' solo run is pretty hard to play. I don't think, Vai, Malmsteen, Van Halen, etc. could pull off that solo run properly live either. Look at Paul Gilbert (who was influenced by Gary), he plays that solo run on many of his instructional and live videos, he always needs a second try to accomplish. Gary had no second try during his solo, so he cheated. But on few rare live recordings he was almost able to play the complete solo run.
