The song " Kaisho " from one of my personal favorite anime series, Gankutsuou : The Count of Monte Cristo. This is the song when something big, sad and dramatic is happening that surprises everyone. Sorry, no Download link for this one, I only do that with uncopyrighted stuff. However if you want it that badly you can buy the ost in the link below. Enjoy. On another topic, should anyone wish for me to upload a song from Gankutsuou, simply ask and I will do so.

My one problem with this anime, is the counts death. The most interesting and involving character in this anime did not deserve the death he got, I felt like the entire scene was rushed and a bit poorly written.

."....you do realise Gankutsuou is nothing alike to the book? It is VERY loosely based on the french book written in the 1800's, based in the 1800's. Gankutsuou is based in the FAR future (5053AD) and features a freakin demon inhabited Count, the original story is all human. Different cultures, different timelines, different charecters, different revenges, the only connection is really the Count and the theme of vengeance for being wronged."I've read The Count of Monte Cristo. Gankutsuou takes a lot of liberties and tells its own story, but many of the details and the framework included are entirely taken from the original Count. Most of the significant changes in the anime are the expansion of the roles of the Albert and his friends, and the addition of the Gankutsuou character. Setting things in the future was mostly an excuse for visuals more than anything else- the entire rest of the series verbatim lifts concepts and ideas from the original.

I think that the anime is yes nothing like the book for the anime is about the prespective of the Count's victims!I personally like the anime better!

ok for those who say this is nothing like the book....I read the book and even though I only read what goes on in the episodes and haven't seen it I can say that even though the timeline is different the story is the most "by the book like" from all the movies they made...but i'll have to watch to be sure...just wanted to say this

This has to be one of the best "shit is going down" pieces of music of any anime.
