I first heard this song on a Cassette of the album I got at the Salvation Army. I wore that thing out. This is by far one of my fave solos ever! Could listen to this tune over and over.

I grew up in San Francisco also. KSAN was the channel of choice. There was KZEL in Eugene, OR. too. They played alot of Trower. And of course KINK IN Portland, OR. witch is STILL crankin'out really good tunes. I heard Gamma in Dallas, TX. on KZEW. One of the best rock stations I 've ever had the privilage to listen to. They went defunct in the late 80's. To bad, they were excellent.

When I first heard this, I thought it was a Robin Trower song. Turns out it was by Gamma with Davey Pattison as singer and Ronnie Montrose on guitar. Turns out that Robin Trower now has Davey as his singer because he sounds so much like James Dewar who passed in 2002. This song is a very sad story that unfortunately was the life that too many had to live to make a dollar.

This was the most late night played song that got no recognition on FM radio--took 20 years to find who recorded it!
