A never shutting aperture,

to capture your light;

a never sleeping apparition,

waiting like a land mine:

And you're caught in the lockstep.

I lie entombed beneath

the shadow of the black machine;

I lie crushed between

the gears.

Burning up the oxygen,

doublespeaking suicide;

savage internecine warfare,

"to purify."

In the ghostly smoke from this crucible,

with my fractured hope in the melting ore:

I lie.

Damn, your singing has improved over the years. I remember first listening to you sing your songs like coming down, I want to believe etc, can't wait for what you're going to put up in the future.

Nice work on the video. This, Here Come the Crows and Strike are my favorite tracks off the album, though it's hard to pick favorite when each song works so well.Though it's not the the song you posted, wanted to mention that Strike reminds me a lot of From the Towers to the Ground, every time I hear Strike I end up listening to that song as well at some point in the day or else it's stuck in my head, heh.
