Classic cover version of the Yoko Ono original, sung by Naomi Yang (bassist for Galaxie 500). This is from their third and final album, "This Is Our Music," released in 1990. Lead singer/guitarist Dean Wareham may be better known as the singer and guitarist for Luna, and they are a really good band in their own right. But I still prefer Galaxie 500 and feel they were a totally underrated and totally brilliant band.

Much better than Yoko's version. I don't mind her version but the vocals and the music on this version are much more moody, emotional and atmospheric. But, hey. That's just my personal opinion. I also prefer their cover of Jonathan Richman's "Don't Yet Our Youth Go To Waste," even though I love Jonathan Richman. Again, it's mainly due to Galaxie 500 making it more emotional and adding more depth.9 years ago

Well this is just beautiful. I think Galaxie makes every cover that they do better than the original (although I'm still debating Ian Curtis' 'Ceremony.') I finally found the Yoko vinyl that this was from, and I was expecting horrific, ear-piercing screams, but oddly enough it was really beautiful. Not nearly as good as Naomi though,11 years ago
