Again just for clarity, Matt Tong was my biggest inspiration when I first heard Silent Alarm, I love him as a drummer and no disrespect intended but it's just fact there are many names I can think of superior to him and Jack.

I say this as a person who was inspired by Matt Tong to play drums 6/7 years ago. I'm a big fan and Jack is also a very good drummer. However, even then there are a lot of drummers better than those two, it sounds like you aren't listening to much drumming outside indie rock judging by your comment no offense. Jack and Matt are very good drummers but there are others out there like Vinnie Colauita, Gavin Harrison, Dave Weckl, Danny Carey, Jojo Mayer etc who would blow them out of the water.

Now, having been out of the loop for a while, its time to defend Matt Tong and Jack. When Bloc Party played Helicopter on Jools Holland, they played it at like, twice the speed, Matt made it look relatively easy. Take a look at Four, Matt plays like a god on Coliseum. Jack is an amazing drummer fullstop, he is really inventive and to be honest, he is just so cool! You aren't gonna find better drummers than them to be honest...(well, ones that are alive...Bonzo would beat them all hands down)
