Jan Benkwitz alias the BLASTPHEMER, an extreme drummer from Germany/Hamburg playing in the band FEED HER TO THE SHARKS (Australian Metalcore)

We are going on Tour with BORN OF OSIRIS and UPON A BURNING BODY in May 16th - 26th.

Please check/like our/my page for details.

Feel free to send me a friends request on facebook and have a chat and ask questions, talk some drums.

**Recording**

A few kids still think my drumming is fake. As you can see & listen from the Overheads, all patterns are in time. I do not upload anything which I can't play tight.

I use my acoustic sound from the overheads and mix it together with trigger (ddrum) signals into my Alesis Trigger IO. I beef up the sounds with a drum vst.

If you like my work, just feel free to comment, subscribe and like!

To all people posting about triggers. Triggering an acoustic drumset is like going from an acoustic guitar to an electric guitar. It's about changing the sound of the drum. Try playing a metal show with an acoustic guitar unplugged. You will never hear it. Same concept. Obviously power dies with speed. I guarantee most people on here still can't play this double bass speed with triggers. So if triggers are cheating then so is an electric guitar.

If you think making music is a competition, you clearly haven't understand music at all. Just enjoy it!

Don't listen to these ignorant people, Jan. Sometimes drummers use them to make up for a lack of power, and THAT is annoying, but you clearly don't have a problem with power. Even when blasting this fast, your sticks are getting some height off of that snare drum, which is very impressive. You're a beast man!

AMAZING!!! \m/You look so relaxed when you're playing :D It's a bit funny to watch this!Powerful hand and footwork, it's doesn't matter about triggering the whole drum set. )

And can somebody please learn what the fuck a trigger is before you start telling people what they are. And try drumming before you say how lightly someone is hitting the drum.

I actually took the time to play this song from my itunes and the same time as this video, and he pretty spot on. Some cymbal sections vary, but whatever. Keyboard drummers need to chill out
