People tolerate their own germs better than the germs of others. With an exchanged garment if a scratch happened, and menstrual blood or dried feces was on the garment, infection risk is there. Sure you can get infected with your own doo but that's why exchange of garments was banned. It had NOTHING to do with mandating any differences of style. It's incredible how stupid "Christians" are. The things they believe about sex typing of garments are due to historical forces that transpired centuries after the NT was completed. The AG people have no knowledge of Puritanism, the "great masculine renunciation" caused by the French Revolution (fancy clothes on men were equated with political repression---NOT with "effeminacy") these dumb, box of rocks stupid AG people haven't had a look at the King of England's clothes as of KJV year 1611. Pants were invented for sitting on horses, not because "God ordained men to wear pants." If men want to present as men, they should shave less. You can't drop women from Deut 22:5 while continuing to bind men to it, especially since it never imposed any style differences to start with. Yes, I believe God thinks bras are female. Skirts and fancy clothes however are neutral. The church in America used to believe this, as boys were raised in skirts, dresses and petticoats to age 6 and 7 up until just after the close of the 19th century.
