This song tells me about a guy who realizes how his life is a streak of failures and there's little to do for him to fix it but "quit while being ahead" (suicide?)Or simply Aaron is giving his view on whiny and emotional artists who can't let their feelings out unless they are loaded with sadness and melancholy, seeing how the upbeat rhythm of the song plays around the words.True feelings or simply trolling? I can't tell, I like this song anyway.

you think there's clevereness in my comment? because i wasn't trying to be clever when i wrote it. it would be more sarcastic if i was.

Your spelling ruins the cleverness in that comment.

If you want to consider this a sequel it could probably be said that it's a sequel to both "Everything Sucks" and "Sell Out". The line "There was nothing on the radio again" directly references lyrics in "Everything Sucks" and thematically it evokes both. Aaron has written multiple songs about how it sucks to be a "one hit wonder" ("The Kids Don't Like it" "Don't Start a Band" "One hit Wonderful" etc.) but this is one of the most heartfelt and touching. Definitely one of the best songs on CCF.

No, he means sell out. The lyrics do match, look at them side by side. Sell out is about a band getting big, whilst Famous Last Words is about how a singer/artist/whatever quits and became a different person. Or something.

This is definitely Sell Out part 2. The lyrics match, and you can even hum the horns from sell out over the horns in this song.

But everything sucks was the last time we heard Aaron complain...
