The hour is dying on the vine. We're drifting slowly in station, and we never align. Leaving home all the same. Waited so long for saving, but it never arrived. Oh, holding out for another way. Oh, on the run from the modern age. On the run from the modern age.

Take your clothes and lay them out. Waited so long for saving, but it never arrived. Leaving home for a change. Waited so long it stained you. All our promises are lies. Oh, holding out for another way. Oh, on the run from the modern age. On the run from the modern age.

The vocals remind me of Jefferson Airplane. The way her voice quavers on certain notes is absolutely beautiful.

Exitmusic outplayed Phantogram in ever dimension but the visual, and that's because they didn't have lazorz :p best band I heard in 2011, hands down.

@erinfarnsy Ill give you that, they were definitly into their music. Exitmusic at least came out and talked to the people that were buying their merch. I don't remember seeing Phantogram out there after the show, but maybe I just didn't see them.

@NoctemAeternusMusic I just saw them both in Boston, and I didn't really get a friendly vibe from either band. Neither said much, if anything, but they both gave good performances. That description of Phantogram makes them sound pretty lame, but you have to admit that they were into their music, which was pretty exciting for me.

@erinfarnsy Honestly I wasn't that impressed with Phantogram. The music was good, but they didnt really seem to care that there was a crowd there...didn't interact with the crowd or anything really. Plus I actually met them backstage because a friend of mine was interviewing them and they were kind of arrogant, and seemed very annoyed that they even had to talk to us.....plus they wouldnt let us get a picture with them either....not very cool people.

@NoctemAeternusMusic I wouldn't say they were way better than phantogram, but they were definitely excellent.
