Here's yet another #1 song by Exile. It reached the top of the Billboard Country chart in 1985 (Epic 04864). Such great music!!

Pretty sure this was written by J.P. Pennington about his daughter. They are from Richmond, KY.

Ah, can we please have that 80's country sound back. Today's country sucks.

Anything by Exile is simply great from their Rock to Disco to Pop to Country. Or in any combination.

There's a show on Dish Network - Ch. 231, I think, RFD Network - called "Larry's Country Dinner" ... and Exile was on there not too long ago. This was one of the three songs they sang, and they sound just as good nowadays as they did.

I grew up hearing this song on the radio, & love it to this day. Thanks for resurrecting the memories!

@jrhafelein ....because artists don't actually sing anymore, they just use computers to sound good. This is how music is supposed to sound! Love it!

This is a Classic! How come no songs have a acapella section these days? All the old rock and country songs used to have one acapella chorus toward the end with just a drum beat...sorta to emphasize the theme a bit. Ah, a lost art, I suppose...

For some reason this song has been stuck in my head for going on two days now. I must have heard it on the radio or something. LOL!
