Are they speed metal or thrash metal? Can they just be called HEAVY metal? One thing's for sure, when it comes to sheer power these guys are almost impossible to beat. I remember these guys from their heyday...it was a very exciting time to be a fan of heavy music. They were a very big part of an explosion of bands out of the underground...these guys along with Metallica, Raven, Venom and Anthrax were among the top of the heap.

The crossover from speed to thrash is a very murkey area, but historically these guys are probably considered speed metal.
