Evil Mothers was a heavy tribal-industrial band from satantonio texas and was fronted by industrial icon Curse Mackey. They were signed to Martin Atkins INVISIBLE RECORDS and released four albums on the label. The most popular album was SPIDER SEX AND CAR WRECKS. CROSSDRESSER was the first, PITCHFORKS AND PERVERTS the second , I LIKE FUR EP came next, then spidersex, and the final release was the INCRIMINATING FRUIT, that featured ten new tracks, plus remixes by Nitzer Ebb, KMFDM, PIG, Thrill Kill Kult and others, and established the band as heirs to the throne of heavy-industrial rock, that had been eroded by the break up of Skinny Puppy and Ministry's foray into metal. Unfortunately following a european tour with Einsturzende Neubauten the band split up due to difficulty with the label and personal matters within the band.
Curse Mackey has since gone onto play in PIGFACE, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, and formed the Grim Faeries, he also has a solo album in the works. Patrick Sane went on to join BOxcar Satan. The other members whereabouts seem to be unclear.
Evil Mothers was the real deal...fire, whiskey, sex, blood, love and fury...
they say thank god everyday what do i have to be thnkful for anyway i bore
these wounds to be true i laid my hands upon you searching for some inner
healing running from the way your feeling. the readyset die we don't have
to say goodbye we don't follow your leader he's a bleeder we go with open
eyes. those words were spoken long ago by those of you afraid to go and if
i burn i burn i burn i want to know the unknown i don't want to have to
regret or wonder if i did forget because i know i know i know everybody's
got to go. the readyset die we don't have to say goodbye we don't follow
your leader he's a bleeder we go with open eyes. pass on this life and move
on to the next cst of this world for one not so perplexed i don't kneel for
my last meal i don't feel the way you feel i don't praise the last supper
because the last suffer.
