I have the 50 watt head and the problem with the cleanchannel is, once you roll down the gain below 12 oclock, you'll loose alot of bass and mids. The amp thins out if you will. But it's way cleaner than a Peavey 5150 II

This amp is awesome. I bought the ivory a few weeks ago with a wolfgang special. You can do so much with this amp. I play rock/blues/ and metal, and it easily does everything I need it too. The power attenuator on it is awesome. Great go to amp. Perfect for gigging. and It comes with really sturdy casters so you can roll it.

I played this the other day at Sweetwater, and I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was. This particular version has tons of headroom which I think is an improvememnt over the Peavey 5150's

Nice tones man (and playing as well)! This is what I've been looking for as I have a small home studio. I've been using the HD500 and plugins (used the HD for my first album) but I'd really like to have an amp and mic it for my next projects.

Sounds amazing... I use to have a Magnatone High Fidelity. Old one, Miss that amp. This reminds me of it.

The sealed back is the biggest reason to buy this combo. It would sound totally different if it had an open back like most combos. The Bogner Shiva has a sealed back and that is the king, IMO. That, or a Diezel Einstein combo would be my first choice. But for the price, this seems to be a great amp. I'd like to hear a demo with a Strat or something with single coils though. This might be voiced for humbuckers (if you know what I mean).

Anyone else thought this guy was Kerry King at first?

is it better to better to buy the 50 watt combo amp? vs buying the 100 watt head? of course i'm doing a modern 80' metal/ mixed with i guess metalcore like all that remains killswitch?

this amp has great tones but i decided to sell it. it is completely useless portability wise because it weighs 84 pounds, even at 1 watt it hisses and hums to. i decided to get the 1x12 cab and the 50 w head or a kemper profiler.

Love this demo and love the amp but he's talking out his ass when he says it's the only combo amp built that way with the tubes set above a separate closed box for the speakers, the Peavey 6506+ 112 is set up the exact same way and has been around longer.
