Yeah exactly. It's a matter of opinion so don't say people are idiots. That's what i've been saying. And i only mentioned about the film degree so i have a background for my argument and not bullshitted. 4thpart) i rather watch a band play different videos of their live stuff while having their music play in the background...i was just as equally disappointed when i found out other good bands use this stupid white background setting. I like the music, just think the video sucks, which I believe a lot of people are missing. In the end it comes down to personal opinion...you don't like it, too bad? (third part) first off, im sure to find "actors" is not hard, they don't even have to be paid! They can be friends, randos off their myspace page, or something :P secondly, a music video with some interesting features would be awesome! It would definitley pull in more interest, and then music obviously would have to fit the criteria of the video thusly strengthing the music and making it more recognizable to people, guessing you don't watch a lot of good music videos?12 years ago

(second part) DON'T biggest waste of time and money ever, u know what it gets u? Nothing! Getting jobs in film requires talent, not necessarily a degree (ya you can take a degree a learn a few more things about lights, angles, production process and different programs) but the degree means almost nothing, so don't tell me your degree makes you an expert otherwise my English degree makes me a god damn genius :S12 years ago

a)consider they are a band on a small label, therefore label won't be able to have a big budget for actors, buying locations, props etc so they have to make do with what they can (I have a film degree so i know how music video budgetting works) and b) The smaller the band they are more reliant on the music as they don't have an existent fanbase to fall back on yet like bigget bands (like slipknot and silverstein as you mentioned) until they are on a bigger label.
