Drummer isn't playing off beat at all idk what you guys are talking about. I've played drums for years now and have played guitar for over a decade. It's called the gallop rhythm that almost every punk bands uses. He is playing a simple beat but twice as fast which makes the snare sound off sometimes but it is a trademark of the nofx sound

The NOFX version isn't offbeat. In fact I can't think of any song that is offbeat by a punk band. I don't even think this one is. The recording is just to garbbled to tell.

You're an idiot haha. The drummer hits the snare on on the 'and' of each beat in the measure. It's a key part of punk/hardcore drumming, Look up any true pop punk band and I'm sure you'll find the same drumming style. It has nothing to do with playing to a click, because he is playing to a click.

despite the era of punk rock I "grew up" in I was never a huge NOFX fan, but I love hearing hXc versions of their songs. Shai Hulud did a great one too

@mvg523 Actually, like gomingar said, he is on time. The snare is on the upbeat each time, so follow the kick. Way to not fully listen.
