they were so good up to [and definitely including] this album. they had some good moments after this but it was in spite of the attempt at over-commercializing their sound. say what you will about everclear but this record was both poppy and real rock and roll. they're not mutually exclusive things you know. i just wish they'd have realized it too. this is a great rock and roll album, nothin' will change that.

@sartrekk I know the bass player personally, and I would hardly consider them "sellouts." Don't sellouts usually have a bunch of money? And, just about everyone was playing low fi in the 90s. Including all the bands with "punk ethics." You need to come up with some better points if you're going to be argumentative.
