This was absolutely positively their best album... the power of the lyrics imo is much more than any others ive had the misfortune of listening to, and coupled with their instrumentals restores what little faith was left in our music industry, and that maybe not ALL music has been dead since the 80's, just in a coma waiting for the world to jump start its dying heart.

Just because Maynard sings for both bands doesn't mean they're the same band, man. Those two projects sound NOTHING alike. Even Maynard's vocal tamber is different between the two. Someone said, "Tool is the mind and APC is the heart." Tool is a prog-like alt. metal band that write intricate pieces. APC is more emotional, alt. hard rock, and it's A LOT more melodic, but basic. APC is comparable to Smashing Pumpkins, while Tool is comparable to an angry Rush or Yes (if that makes any sense.)

Chevelle got their influence from tool and have admitted that. Do your homework. I've listened to APC after my coworker got me into Chevelle. Borrowed an APC cd from him and didnt care for it. Two totally different sounds.
