I love the '90s effects. The school disco lights were an especially nice touch. A starwipe would've made this perfect, though. I mean, why have hamburger when you can have steak?

@rachelmdw I guess at that time being the only prominent female group from the UK and being from and R&B background they could not be too out there or rock and roll. I think that would have put mainstream buyers off and they probably not have got on the radio or on all the children's shows. If they came out now though things would definitely be different. They made a conscious effort to have the tomboy look and catepillar boots to not alienate the girl record buyers.

I loved them at the time but listening to their stuff now I can see why they ended up with so few no.1s. Its all v.vanilla.Great voices though and I like that they didn't feel the need to wear revealing clothes to sell their music.

Vernie was lovely...Shy and quiet. Easther and Vernie were self-assured and confident. They probably did not take crap from people. Whatever conflicts they had in the group they kept within the group with a dignified silence. Kelle was VERY bitchy when she left Eternal. She turned the press and public against Easther and Vernie and made many hateful comments about them including their religious beliefs. Louise recently said in the press she had fallen out with Kelle. Kelle is no angel.

There'a a live performance of this on TOTP on one of the sites. It's pretty good. Easther sings live while full on dancing. The others mime though.
