Manhattan is about 15 or 20 years older than Gem. his clean sound is just so glassy and gorgeous. not a huge fan of his dirty sounds at this gig. they were a bit flaccid. that he was able to complete the gig with them is a testament to his technique. I wonder if its just a matter of the recording?9 years ago

I dont think he played sloppy, but people are used to hear Eric Johnson play with a lot more processed guitar tone, which makes it sound more fluent. But I agree it wasnt his best performance. Also I really missed the organ for this song10 years ago
