Artists are influenced by many different great artists. Just because you can tell who some of his influences are doesn't make it not original. Original it is!! Also a great song. By the way I saw Eric Carmen open for the beach boys right after the rasberries broke up. He should have been the main act, He blew the Beach Boys AWAY !!!!

Always liked this tune - shoulda been a hit, but wasn't. (Not in UK anyway). BUT....Original it ain't!! First half is pure Beach Boys copycat stuff, and the second half is so derivative of Elton John's "Love Lies Bleeding" that Reg shoulda sued!

This song was chosen as the launch song for a radio station in the UK called Beacon Radio in 1976. The station's strapline was "the sunshine sound" and it was the perfect song to open a radio station with. Perfect.
