I understand your concern about your new CD being downloaded Chick, it's hard to stop this sort of thing nowadays. Not sure you got what I was saying about the "cover up" thing tho. It's done mainly on the Northern Soul scene, not out of disrespect for the artist, just so a DJ can play a record as an exclusive. Usually, but not always, the record will eventually be uncovered and played as the original. Like in this case, we know it's The Enchantments not The Detroit Shakers on the 45.

"Covered" in this case doesn't mean a cover version of the song sung by a different band Chick. It's where a record is played out in a club but announced as a different, often fictitious artist/song title. The label is physically covered up so the original details on the label can't be read when being played in order to maintain the record as an exclusive spin by a particular dj.
