I remember with KK downing he scalloped his fretboards on his hand crafted guitars for amazing bends and better string control I've done 6 necks like it mostly for other people or craigslist and its an awesome upgrade... hammers lower end slammer guitars if anyone's ever heard of them have necks as good as 1000$ Jackson kellys (Explorer shapes) I found as I owned 3 KE3s ... the body wood is garbage but still a much better beginner guitar than what sqwuier / epiphone wants to start us off with

ENGL Invader w/ 6L6s, yea! I knew it. I loved my Invader 150 but I missed the fat richness of 6L6 tubes, so I traded it in for the Special Edition e670 -- No Contest. I think the reason a lot of bands own this amp but don't tour with it (Like Michael Romeo "Symphony X") is because it's so expensive and complex (not in the complicated sense, but it just has a ton of added features that may make it more vulnerable to road use than say the Fireball. But then again, what do I know?

wth? in 1987 JP had just released that live album and were about to release Ram It Down. I personally still like Defenders of the faith and earlier albums no offense to Priest they just made better albums in the early years.

I have a Hamer Standard ( explorer copy ) from 79 or 80. Hand crafted..I bought it new for 1100 bux when I was 21'ish around 1980. it's in really good condition. I could be interested in selling it for a fair price. It's tiger stripe sunburst. [email protected] if interested I will send pictures. It's stock with double dimarzios.

Pretty sure that was sarcasim,just sayin I like that sweet tone a paf gives you .I have a 61 les paul?sg they are hand wond and I would put that guitar up against anything ,It is a monster.

Yeah, your right. Guys like Glenn Tipton, Zakk Wild, David Gilmour, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet, Alexi Laiho and a whole bunch of others who use EMG's sound like angry bumblebees. Yep, no tone there. Good thing you mentioned that. The guy who hand winds PAF p/u's is getting phone calls from all these guys demanding that he makes them new pickups so they can go old school. Whew! That was close! Glad your on your "A" game and made that comment. Who knows what they would've done.
