This is how Post-Hardcore/Metalcore should have stayed. The genre is awful these days and completely watered down, filled with generic bands. Old Emarosa, old The Devil Wears Prada, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Sky Eats Airplane, old A Skylit Drive, etc. were bands with substance. 2006/2009 was the best time for this scene.

Craig's vocal melodies in emerosa, never really interested me that much, and I feel like they limited the instrumentals to fit the rhythm he set in place with his vocals, I'm not saying they weren't amazing, because hell, his talent is natural and that's a given, and they did a wonderful job writing material with him as a vocalist, but I honestly prefer this band without him and people going ham about it years and years later just, I wish I could say it puzzles me but it doesn't because people will like what they like, they'll stick to there guns even if there argument is a sinking ship. This band is good with or without jc and he never, ever made the band. This may just be my opinion but I don't think they ever counted on him for people to appreciate the music they create. Excellent craftsmanship all around.

It's kind of crazy how these guys progressed. However, I can see exactly how. This band has the potential to be a lot of different stuff. I like this and the stuff with Jonny Craig. The musicians are pretty damn talented and are able to genre blend like no other. I honestly hope I hear new music from them in the future.
