@the5thillusion Everything in this song is right; sound of the guitar, the drumms (+ double pedals), the keyboard is flying like a butterfly between the guitars (chorus) and an amazing, greek, straight to the point vocal experience. The synchronicity between them all pulls it to a higher level. Also great, imho, is the part where the guitar brings you to the chorus ( 1:28 - 1:43 ). At the end (again imho) they make the song perfect by playing the chorus WITHOUT the voice. HAIL for the king!

You mean the greek band Nocternity? I don't really like albums with the sound of guitars in the background and emphasis placed on the keys and/or ambient elements(that's the reason I never got into Emperor, Limbonic Art, Vinterriket) Therefore, I prefer "En Oria", which is somewhat most riff-based than their other works. Most people praise "Onyx" however, so I guess you should trust the majority

I understand what you mean, I adore this kind of sound too and I am dissapointed by the fact that most modern greek bands either play crappy NSBM or regurgitate themes of the early norwegian scene. All of the songs I upload feature this distinctive, old-greek-scene feeling, at least in my ears. And by the way I have uploaded another song from this album titled "As One", these two are the ones to stand out.

The greek sound is awesome,,Rotting Christ,Varathron... i like the fact that they put doom elements into there music,This also sounds a bit like Insomniums In The Halls Of Waiting,,i love this kind of doom and gloom
