My mother played this song for my Grandmom when she was in the hospital and shortly after her heart went into failure and she survived for a couple more weeks then gently passed away...when we hear this song now we always think of that night. Love and Miss my Grandmom so much. Hope you find peace. God bless.

My mother loved Elvis and in particular his Gospel Songs because they are like small prayers straight from the heart, God bless. .

I love Elvis, but God is God. Without God, Elvis would never have even existed to sing this song. Without God, there would be no *reason* for Elvis to sing this song. Elvis is "the King" of popular music, and he is the greatest singer of popular music in history (in my opinion), but Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. There is no comparison.

TimeChaser123, how do you know for certain that Elvis wasn't saved? He professed faith in Christ. He definitely had his struggles with sin, and maybe he could have fought harder, but we all could fight harder with our sin. Have you arrived yet at perfect holiness? To my knowledge, Elvis never denied his need for Christ. From the books I've read about Elvis's life, he continued to cry out to God in the very last days before his death. I hope to see him in Heaven. I hope to see you there too!
