Elvis' version of Shake, Rattle and Roll was recorded on 3rd February, 1956 at RCA Studios, NYC. It is evident from these early takes that Elvis wanted to start the song with Bill Haley's altered "kitchen" lyrics, although Elvis' final released version had gone back to using Big Joe Turner's "bed" lyrics. Elvis' version is more reminiscent of BJT's original.
Also of note, is the second instrumental break; a piano as opposed to another lead guitar break from Scotty Moore. Elvis also retains the lyrics "wear those dresses, Sun comes shining through". The photos for this video are from a later recording session at RCA, NYC; 2nd July, 1956. (Track available from the box set "Today, Tomorrow & Forever")
