On this day in 1962 {August 11th} the Elvis movie "Kid Galahad" had its world premier It was a remake of the 1937 original version starring Edward G. Robinson, Bette Davis, & Humphrey Bogart The song "King of the Whole Wide World" was featured in the film; & on Sept. 22nd it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, eventually peaking at #30 On the day the film premiered Elvis' "Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello" entered the Top 100, it reached #55 {was the B-side of "She's Not You", it peaked at #5}11 years ago
