On this day in 1962 {March 11th} "Good Luck Charm" by Elvis entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #51; and five weeks later on April 15th, 1962 it peaked at #1 {for 2 weeks} and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100...And of course the record's B-side, "Anything That's Part of You", also charted and the week "Good Luck Charm" reached #1 it peaked at #31...On May 24th, 1962 "Good Luck Charm" also peaked at #1 {for 5 weeks} on the United Kingdom Singles chart; but it did even better in Norway, where on May 19th it reached #1 for eleven weeks..."Good Luck Charm" was composed by Aaron Schroeder and Wally Gold; and the duo also wrote Elvis' "It's Now or Never", in 1960 it peaked at #1...There was an answer record, "Don't Want to Be Another Good Luck Charm", by an artist simply named Jo and it’s available on You Tube...9 years ago
