Could put this in the middle of one of the early 80's ELO albums and someone who hadn't heard the album before would never know the difference.

Im a dissappointed 30 year elo fan. MIss the orchestra part which is now just richard tandy playing strings on a lame keyboard. Kind of a lame re entry after a 14 year wait.

We must do everything we can to keep Jeff Lynne alive!

This would fit right in with Secret Messages or Balance of Power. More of this, Jeff! Sounds great!

Love it! Sounds like ELO circa 2015 ;-) To Jeff, thank you so much for continuing to create such beautiful music - you make my soul hum and my heart sing, every day!

Jeff's voice sounds as good as it did in the mid '80s. Can't think of many artists who sustained their vocal tone and range after 30 years, and into their mid-60s no less.

Nice song, but to me it does not sound like ELO. Just like the Zoom album, I think this is ELO in name only for marketing purposes. I am sure Lynne plays most instruments on this just like Zoom. That is a what you call a solo album. Unless he gets Tandy, Bevan, Kaminski, Gale, McDowell, etc with him, this is not ELO. As of now, Richard Tandy is the only ex-ELO member that has played with him, and Lynne does not ever seem to even acknowledge that anybody else even played with him on those classic albums they made. I have not even heard him make any mention of his ex bass player, Kelly Groucutt, (RIP) who was a big part of ELO's sound and vocal harmonies.

For those who think ELO is just a 70s phenomenon, go check out the albums "Time", "Secret Messages" and "Balance of Power".  Each album (especially "Time") way ahead of its time.  One example, the song "Your Truly, 2095" contains a similar theme to the main theme in the film "Her."
