"Hard Times In Babylon" from Eliza Gilkyson's 'Live From Austin TX' performance. Buy it today on Amazon http://amzn.to/1celSRf or iTunes http://smarturl.it/ElizaLFAT.

Although Eliza Gilkyson was born in Los Angeles, Texas likes to claim her as one of its own. Music is certainly in her blood, being the daughter of folk singer Terry Gilkyson, who penned such classics as "Greenfields," "Marianne," and "Memories are Made of This." She started writing and recording her own songs as a teenager, then moved to New Mexico and raised a family at the end of the sixties, developing a loyal fan base in the Southwest and Texas. Recorded live on August 13, 2001.

Oh yeah, he is that intellectually honest human being with a soul that the right likes to call a commie. I like him too, his brain still seems to function.

I saw her a number of years ago in Flagstaff opening for Richard Thompson. She only played for about 20 minutes and then Richard Thompson came on and talked about himself and bored me with guitar frettboard tricks. I really resented that. I wanted to listen to Eliza until the small hours of the morning.

I'll be her bass player, bongoist and eraser cleaner anytime. That voice and these words not only gets but calms the goat in me. Kinda like turning on a really good reading light for the first in a long time. Hell anyone can go to Austin. Few can make a real mark.. Babylon indeed, more like ChaoBaby...

10's of dollars. is market value. I don't think you could handle the big time. I would rate you as more talented than Cheryl Crowe. Go figure

This is a great song. She, much like her father, has the gift.
