B-Side from the Forbidden City CD single circa 1996 on Parlophone Records. Nice vocal and melody once the techno(ish) intro has passed.

This amazing, how come as a band matures there best stuff they put as B-sides. One of the best Petshop boy songs in the last 20 years was put on obscure special addition CD. Almost seems these guys don't want their best stuff heard. :-) So glad I found this track!!!

The Smiths / The Cure Mixed Up / I've got some good multitracks from the net which are great - you can hear how they record guitar parts (strumming) and then Punch-In / Punch-Out for the 2 bars arpeggio parts...and get maximum use of the 24-track digital recording machines they used! We've got this stuff now on PC - even with Warez - Cubase 5 / FL 11 / PT 10 / NI Komplete -> Sylenth / Vaz / Reaktor / Omnisphere / Drumatic 4 / Microtonic / Xils Oxium / Arturia Prophet V2 + Waves - everything -

Analog synths were the starting point - amazing - with those sequencers, delays, reverbs, Tomita / Jarre / Kraftwerk... Then the New Order's / Depeche Mode / PSB tracks were great....with some great remixes (Shep Pettibone 12" stuff / Substance / Technique / Violator / Get The Balance Right / Introspective / Bizarre Love Triangle / Perfect Kiss)... I've heard very little new music that comes close to those classics... Some Distant Memory / Second To None / A-Ha had some great tracks

I make music on the computer -> we now have an amazing choice of quality synths...so where is the new music that should be out there? I am going to do my best to make something amazing! New Order are working on a new synth based album - (please stay away from Stuart Price - for god's sakes! - lol)....Their self produced stuff is the best...an old Mac or Atari ST, a mouse and some MIDI rackmount stuff....bingo! Amazing music! We need more Digital Synths as VSTs -> research it! PPG / DW8000

Right - there is also the new Electronic debut album remastered - which contains the Guitar + Vocal mix of Twisted Tenderness.. I remember an interview - BBC Radio One with Jo Wiley...Johnny said that it started as an electric track / then Bernard made it a guitar driven track - but then Johnny flipped it back to a dance track - with the orgasmic middle 8 bit! Total "Jizz In Your Pants" breakdown around 3-30 into it (the album version).. Freewill + Second To None - they were classics

Yes - I just downloaded the torrent "Karl Bartos Off The Record"... I bought a few of his albums on cassette....Esperanto - hang on - now I'm confused! I had a Karl Bartos album in the 90s...it had a collaboration with OMD's Andy Mcluskey...."Kissing The Machine"...which has just appeared on the brand new OMD album from a month or two back....practically identical! Now - the OMD track is from 2013...yet Kissing The Machine with Elektric Music (Karl's band name) was from 96 or thereabouts...

No not true. It was co-written by Marr, Sumner and Bartos.

This tune was composed by Karl Bartos as "Bombast" in 1994. His original version will be launched as "Musica Ex Machina" on the forthcoming album "Off The Record" on March 15, 2013.
