A song that really reminds me of summer is 'The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver' by Elbow. The introduction of the song sounds so broad and thick, I can always imagine the height of the Tower Crane, as it comes across in the music. The singer voice is so clear and pure it doesn't distract from the song and it is used as an instrument adding to the effect of the sound. The songs lyrics are simple in context and also utterly orginial, because the song is not about big emotions and feelings that are so often used in songs, but the lyrics are about how lonely and how far away the Tower Crane Driver must feel. It is simplicity at its best.
