Elbow are great, U2 are great, Can't everyone just listen to an awesome piece of music instead of trying to compare two fantastic bands, they are different, different sounds, different styles, just enjoy the music guys seriously!

I really enjoy this song. An absolute pearl of a cover and something about Guy's voice makes melodies such a poetic adventure. I'm sure many would disagree but I much prefer the subtlety of this version over the original.

No offence to anyone from Elbow, but, they should be up at the high court for attempted murder on this track. It's a great song and that maybe gives Elbow some leeway as it would be good whoever sang it.

If I didn't know the original version, I could have been easily fooled into thinking this is an Elbow original song. Very similar to what they usually sing and very fitting. Now I can't choose between Elbow's version and U2's.What is there to choose between perfect and perfect, but gosh, Guy has an amazing voice-the reason I started listening to Elbow in fact :) .

Ya' know... I've talked with several music fans here in the US over the last decade or so and not one of them has heard of Elbow. That's a real shame. I guess if we consider KISS to be the greatest American rock band then I shouldn't expect too much. England, are you listening? You win, you win.
