First time i saw these were at the Move Festival back in 2002. They were still on their first album which i still say is my fave album by these. They won't ever be massive on a Coldplay scale. The Seldom Seen Kid was their thing. . Done and dustered the follow up wasn't so much a hit. However there will always be a fan base.

My very first concert was Elbow in 09 and they've been my favorite since then <3. I even got to shake Guy's hand : ]. I hope they get popular world wide because they are too amazing to be kept hidden.

Just keep listening it, it will grow on you. Sometimes you have to listen a song a hundred times before it actually hits your heart. And when it does, it feels like a punch in the soul! In a good way, of course ;)

This song is genius. Some song writers don't write songs, songs are channeled through them from some other vehicle. You can call it God, the Earth Goddess, or whatever. I live for artists who channel that kind of thing. Obviously Elbow wasn't fawning for radio play with this song--but it is impossibly beautiful to me. Another song by another band that hit me between the eyes was Rusted Wheel by Silversun Pickups. Same eerie feel.

Elbow have so many sounds. I love it! I don't kinow but those backround vocals remind me a bit of "Jesus Christ Superstar" and that's in a good way. They are SUPERSTARS.
