wanna go deep in contemplating Ektomorf's style of music? get this: I think they're Metalcore. As if Metalcore once actually meant Metal + Hardcore mixed, this is Ektomorf's pure essence. they have plenty of Hardcore songs, mostly the lesser known ones. of course I know Metalcore means something else today, I as well am prepared for all the fucking imbeciles attacking me for this comment

@saintkiller3 I think that Max Cavalera pretty much invented that style by unifying hard-core and metal with the drum beats and rhythms of South American Indians, first on Sepultura's albums Arise and Chaos AD, and then even more so on Roots, and then he further developed it with Soulfly. Of course, by that time many other bands have caught on as well, which is great, because it is a great fusion of different things which makes a very expressive and a musically remarkable style.

@yayotje I've heard this expression somewhere before and im not sure that it existe but I would discribe it as a subcategory of heavy metal including some folks element like sepultura, soulfly, ektomorf or Cadaveres De Tortugas

They completely stole their sound from soulfly/sepultura but they sound pretty badass too and before you try to argue with me please look up when sepultra was formed as well as soulfly.
