I think the video represents the choice to go for something that probably isn't good for you, but it's something you want/need and so you do it anyway, and suffer the consequences. The drugs in the video represent any vice or any quick thrill, and the long term repercussions of impulsive, bad decisions are represented by the shooting. They've made a bad choice, but it's too late, and so they will enjoy it while they can. Because they know the hurricane is coming and it's too late to leave town, now. Time is short, and love is strong. That's kinda a portion of what I get from this. But there's more, and I'm just too tired to think right now. I love the song, and despite what everyone has said, I think the video matches it quite perfectly. Sad.9 years ago
