Listen to the lead guitar riding on top of the Magnum original and compare that epic shredding to the pedestrian guitar rendering displayed on this. The guitar player in this band either didn't have the skill or the balls. Take your pick. I have a special place in my heart for those power rock stompers as Magnum generated in the original of this tune. I don't know who would prefer this recent toned down version but the young ones here who have no clue about or appreciation of the hard rock era of the 70's & 80's? I hate to see a great song like this marred with a lousy cover. I guess this version suits these diaper dandies though weaned on rap & hip-hop.

I do really like the first 60 seconds of this version! Those are awesome! But when they continue around 0:56 it´s just too much..no SOUL and no "Spirit" literally...and that continues until its over! Too "clean" and way too "perfect" and just plain boring. But I´m not surprised that many young ignorant music listeners finds this version to be better than the original. It´s a sad world.

It´s an ok cover! Those who say "it´s way better than the original" are complete immature babies who lack the ability to hear the immense power and depth in the original by Magnum. I actually feel sorry for you guys. Please grow up, learn how to really listen and get to know your classics! I mean no offense to Edguy...it´s really cool that they bring attention to this amazing song! Period.

@scy1192 Or they are awesome and epic enough to master their art and not sell out. Power Metal bands don't "humble" themselves. They are musical rebels. Nothing short of it. There is a reason it is called POWER metal. =P Some religious fanatics even claim it to be a tool of the devil. If it doesn't make you feel like a god, or give you the sudden urge to KNEEL - then it is some fake ass, wannabe Power Metal.

@powermetal32 I think that part of the reason you think that is because PM bands are humble enough to bend their style a bit to stay faithful to the original while still making it their own.
