I don´t fully agree. This song has way more Power than the old stuff from the first four albums and is on par with the best songs from rocket ride, their heaviest album to date. That said I too miss the symphonic days of the "theatre of salvation" times.

You're really narrow-minded if you thought the stuff from Rocket Ride and Tinnitus Sanctus was bad. You can prefer the power metal sound all you want, I don't really care (I like both styles, honestly), but you're really narrow-minded musically if you thought it was bad. It's something different. The cliched power metal sound gets annoying after a while - thus why Tobias is incredibly diverse with his music...

Meh, the reason he changed styles was because all of the old stuff was starting to sound the same. That's why he decided to mix up the styles more. And honestly, the newest Avantasia album is more along the lines of the older stuff, while mixing elements of the new stuff in there. Tobias mentioned he wanted to create a mix in sound - something like Wagner, Meat Loaf, Queen, and a freight train at high speed. If that new album is any sign of his works to come, we're in for a massive treat.

I really miss the songs like the ones on Theater of Salvation and The Savage Poetry. This is the closest thing on this album to that old sound. I guess their new sound is fine, I just really miss the old one. D:
