well what most edge people forget: straight edge is a punk thing....and punk is all about freedom and fighting oppression. I am edge but what's most important is that I am a punk and I won't tell people how to live their lives as long as they don't limit my personal freedom. I hate all the militance n shit. however, ray cappo is still a big inspiration to me :) although i don't agree with 100% of what he says^^

gotta be honest. i find most straight edge people to be incredibly judgmental, opinionated and generalize as much as christians if not worse. if you were truly comfortable with being clean, or whatever, you wouldn't be putting tattoos all over your body with obnoxious X's all over you. you also wouldn't be judging those with a different lifestyle if you were content with your own. this brotherhood is more of an image. i do respect those straight edge people that aren't a douchbag like this guy.

@TidesAreHigh ...absolutely not true....although I do like old Youth of Today stuff, I'm not sure how or why you think anybody owes anything to YoT? Hardcore was good before them and after them.....I actually like Ray a lot. Back in 1991, i and a friend interviewed him in Denver, Co....he invited us to a Krishna temple and we had an amazing vegetarian meal, the guy was cool all the way around...but I don't think hardcore fans owe Ray anything, and I bet he'd agree.
