Wow. I just heard this song in "The Killer Inside Of Me" movie for the first time. The thing is...it sounds VERY similar to a John Prine song -- "That's The Way That The World Goes Round". I'd bet my bottom dollar that this Eddie Noack song was the inspiration for the John Prine song. I've been listening to John Prine since the early 70's, and never made a connection between one of his songs and the songs of anyone else. Thanks for posting.

[C] When the waiter brings the check My buddy's tyin' his shoes. He says, "Take it Away, Lucky. Luckiest man in town.

[B] Didn't know that's where my troule'd begin. Other folks have one, but my wife had twins. They said, "Take 'em away, Lucky, Luckiest man in town." If I got a cigarette, I ain't got a match. If I set a dozen eggs, Eleven roosters hatch. If the mailman comes, He just brings bills. If I got a little Jack, I can't find no Jill. Can't seem to win, I guess I'll always lose.

[A] @cocoroniii Walk five miles, loose a hundred bucks. Win a dollar pot and they call it luck. They say, "Take it away Lucky, Luckiest man in town." Get hit by a truck and get a busted head, Everybody says "Lucky--he ain't dead." Lucky old Ned, luckiest man in town. Now, my wife said to me, And she looked kinda coy. Said we'd soon have a big family. Everybody wants a bundle of joy, So I said to myself, Oh,lucky me.

j'ai toujours aimé ce titre ainsi que Eddie, le piano est caractéristique des Stardays d'alors ainsi que la steel ; cela fait partie intégrante du son starday : prenez les premiers enregistrments de Jones ( What am I worth, Hold everythings, A cup of loneliness, and so on ...) et vous comprendrez ce que je veux dire .
