Recorded at Sarm East Studios in London in August 1975. Also featuring Barry De Sousa on drums and Jerome Rimson on bass. Lead vocals and acoustic guitar by Eddie Howell. Written by Eddie Howell.

Lyrics:

Hey, little lady do you love me

As much as you tell me you do

Oh, I'm not the man you think I am

The game I've been playing is through

Hey, little girl do you trust me

Oh, I'm gonna tell you no lies

I'm gonna come clean don't make a scene

I've been hiding behind a disguise

Oh, I'm the man from manhattan, ole

The man with a price on his head (lots of money)

The man from manhattan

The surface is satin

But the lining is laden with lead

Oh, I've been a fugitive too long

Running away from my fame

My enemies flee at the sight of me

They shake at the sound of my name

'Cos I'm the man from manhattan, ole

The man with a price on his head (go and get the deputy)

The man from manhattan

The surface is satin

But the lining is laden with lead

But don't be afraid

It's only a dream (I'm only dreaming)

An imaginary hero

A vision I have seen

Oooh, ah, ah, ah, cuckoo

I know my true destination

The day will eventually come

I tell you my friend I know my end will be

When I'm standing alone in the sights of a gun

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

I know my true destination

The day will eventually come

I tell you my friend I know my end will be

When I'm standing alone in the sights of a gun

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Oh, I'm the man from manhattan, ole

The man with a price on his head, yeah

The man from manhattan

The surface is satin

But the lining is laden with lead

'Cos I'm the man from manhattan, ole (everybody listen)

The man with a price on his head (lots of money)

The man from manhattan, ole (everybody listen)

The man with a price on his head (lots of money)

The man from manhattan

The surface is satin

But the lining is laden with lead (oooh, oooh, lead)

I love the way Brian May plays'The Red Special'. He's the greatest guitarist in history, and he's the only one who can play that beautiful guitar. 'The Red Special' and the guitar from ''Spread Your Wings'',are the most beautiful guitars I've ever laid my eyes on. Brian's guitars are gorgeous and perfect. If your writing to me about Queen comments then go too my Hotmial account then ''[email protected]'',thank you!

3:27. I think I detected Brians voice there. I'm not quite sure though... It may be that brian also contributed vocals...

Brian May was my favorite guy in Queen, But Freddie was the best singer ever in rock area. You like him or not but it was the absolute truth.
