I remember Eddie as a little girl walking me to Roosevelt school in Lodi. He called me "little one". Played music in my backyard. Would love to sing with him now!! Hearing his music brings back alot of great childhood memories!

Edward Franklin Joseph Brigati, Jr. was my man with the Rascals. He once said "Find peace within yourself and live in the area of a good, progressive direction." I'll never forget. Love you, Eddie.

"Our baby was conceived to that song""How do you know that'""The record was skippin'"ROFLOL.Man do I remember that happening. Putting on a stack of records on the changer before you start to make love and then while you're screwing one of them starts to skip. You weren't going to stop and get up to push the needle, so you continued fucking to the sound of the skipping of that one part of the music, whatever it was. How romantic and sexy......LOLThis was not an infrequent occurrence given how scratched up some people's records got.Nowadays with CDs and Mp3s that doesn't happen, so only the old farts still alive know what it was and will understand what he meant by that.

I once met Eddie WAAAAYYYYY back around 1970, when I was a telephone repairman, and he walked into the apartment of a friend of his where I was working. I was totally floored as I recognized him right away! He was just the nicest, most unpretentious person you could ever meet! A memory I have always cherished!

I saw them when I was 13 years old. They were incredible. It was a huge show in those days with several acts that night. Those who were with them that I remember were B J Thomas, the Cool Jerks,The shondells, and many others. I knew at that moment that music was what I wanted to do.

I loved the Rascals saw them in Madison Square Garden. Had a major crush on Eddie as a young girl. I grew up and bought a small florist years later. One day a gentleman walked into my shop to check out a plant sale. Face to face with him I noticed the space in his smile and asked if he was Eddie Brigati. He showed me his drivers license to prove it and I had a melt down. If I live to be 100 I'll never forget that moment.

Thanks so much for the answer .The Rascals probably more than any other band other than The Beatles conjure up memories of my childhood.I love them and saw them so many times. The bass playing on their records always blew me away and I knew that Gene doubled on Bass but also knew they used session guys , just wasn't sure who.Chuck Rainey is one if the very best. Thanks again!

Gene Cornish doubled on bass on most of the songs on the first three albums; after they became "The Rascals", they used a lot of session/soul players, such as Chuck Rainey.

The best rock/soul group ever.

The Rascals never had a bass player, like the Doors the keyboard player used the bass floor pedals for the bass. One of my favorite groups from the 60's, too bad all their decent live songs are gone from You tube. Guess someone got too greedy.

Eddie is THE Rascal... he's also the most spiritual of the group. You can see and feel his connection with the Divine One when sings and moves.

Anyone have contact details for Eddie..I lived in exile in NY as a South African political cartoonist and he was a great friend of mine with his brother David and girlfriend Susan who worked as a music teacher at a school in Montclair NJ.
