I have never heard that song before and loved it. He is just as good if not better playing acoustic than with his band. That is real musical talent people. You do such a disservice to an artist when you do nothing but compare him to another performer (and lord knows no one can ever live up to George Strait), so just listen to "him and his sound and his music." If you like then great! If not, everybody has different tastes ;-) But my votes are on Easton and George

Its rare in the sense that it was never on an album of his and it was something that was recorded when he was in college before he made it in nashville. The song is not unique at all an has been done a million times. Its only rare in the sense that hardly anybody even has this song by him.
