Some of the comments here are spoken straight out of the ass! Don Cherry was awesome, just as all the Jazz greats as Miles Davis, which he may have the things he sad about Don due to jeously! Sun Rays and John Coltrane all of them where outstanding!!!!! Pharohs of Jazz. Spiritual jazz at that. Don son is amazing much better than lame shit they play on the radio these days.

Getting Breakfast at Tiffany's by Great Blue Something stuck in my head so hard it wouldn't let me sleep wasn't all bad. It let me discover Eagle-Eye Cherry. I don't know how I didn't know about him sooner.

Do Pandas Read Books?

Being a kid in rural Ohio this was my first experience with jazz, I didn't expect it the first time I listened to the album, now I can't image not hearing it at the closing of the album.

There was nothing great or legendary about Don Cherry playing that piece of shit little horn. Miles didn't like him and neither did I.

I wouldn't call Don "great", Him and Ornette did their thing, but Don never really achieved greatness.
